“Kim Possible” Live-Action Movie Adds Christy Carlson Romano, Patton Oswalt

Get ready to see some familiar faces for the Disney Channel’s love action Kim Possible movie. 

Variety confirms that Christy Carlson Romano and Patton Oswalt have both been tapped to star in the upcoming film. The duo voice starred in the original series which ran for 87 episodes beginning in 2002. Romano who voiced the titular teen super-spy in the original while will appear in a cameo role while Oswalt will reprise the role of Professor Dementor. 

The 34-year-old actress confirmed the news during D23’s Saturday Morning on the Lot event on Saturday.

“I can’t say too much about my involvement yet, but I’m very excited to help usher in the strong, empowered female character I helped bring to life, to a new generation,” she told ET. “And I’m equally thrilled to see what the original fans think!”

Both Oswalt and Romano took to social media to share their excitement, with Oswalt writing on Twitter “Yep! Can’t wait for you guys to see this!” and Romano retweeting him and adding, “Yay! Can’t wait!”

Starring as Kim in the movie is Sadie Stanley, Alyson Hannigan will portray Dr. Ann Possible (aka Mom Possible), Connie Ray will play Kim’s grandmother, Nana Possible and Todd Stashwick and Taylor Ortega will portray villains Drakken and Shego respectively. 

Penning the script are series’ creators Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley along with Josh Cagan. McCorkle and Schooley will also executive produce with Zanne Devine.
