Kylie Jenner Lands Cover of Forbes’ “Richest Self-Made Women” Issue

The Kardashian-Jenner family are a force to reckon with.

According to Forbes, Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kylie Jenner is worth $900m.

The 20-year-old reality TV star founded Kylie Cosmetics in February 2016. Kylie Cosmetics was launched two years ago and, according to Forbes, has sold more than $630 million worth of makeup since, including an estimated $330 million in 2017. The company is valued (conservatively) at nearly $800 million and the youngest member of the Kardashian klan owns 100% of it.

“The most successful women entrepreneurs in the country are increasingly taking advantage of technology, including social media, to help them launch and grow businesses,” editor Luisa Kroll says. “That’s one reason why we’ve seen a notable influx of Instagram-savvy moguls like 20-year-old Kylie Jenner in the ranks of America’s richest self-made women.”

Jenner capitalized on her enormous social media following to rocket her company to fame and success. “Social media is an amazing platform,” the star told Forbes, ”I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”

Kylie took to social media sharing her cover, writing to her 110 million followers on Instagram, “wow. I can’t believe I’m posting my very own @forbes cover. thank you for this article and the recognition. I’m so blessed to do what I love everyday. I couldn’t have dreamt this up!”
