Orlando Jones is set for his next reoccurring role since he mysteriously left American Gods.

Jones who played trickster God, Anansi, in American Gods will star opposite Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba in L.A.’s Finest.

The second season has Syd Burnett (Union) and Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba) relying on each other to fight against an antagonist trying to cause chaos on the streets of Los Angeles.

Deadline reported that “Jones will play Marshawn Davis, a veteran of the LAPD’s Internal Affairs Division who is brought in to question Syd Burnett (Union) after an investigation turns deadly. Equal parts integrity and determination, Davis quickly suspects Syd and the truth have a complicated relationship which puts her squarely in his crosshairs.”

Jones’s next roles are in Dark Forces, Lexicon’s upcoming movie and co-starring on Showtime’s limited series The Good Lord Bird.
