Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are no strangers to amazing collaborations, and it was just a matter of time before they joined forces. Their first duet “Die with a Smile” is finally here, and it’s everything we’ve wanted—and more!

After teasing their duet with a retro cover that shows them rocking cowboy-inspired red-and-blue outfits, the duo shared an accompanying music video with the world. Mars directed it alongside Daniel Ramos, and he can be seen performing his new song alongside Gaga on a vintage TV studio stage.

“Die with a Smile” came together while they were both working on new music in Malibu. Mars invited Gaga to listen to one of the songs he was developing, and she immediately agreed to hop on board.

“It was around midnight when I got there and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making. We stayed up all night and finished writing and recording the song. Bruno’s talent is beyond explanation. His musicianship and vision is next level. There’s no one like him,” she said in a statement.

“Die with a Smile” hit the shelves on August 16 as a standalone single, and it’s not linked to Lady Gaga’s upcoming seventh studio album.
