Quibi taps another big name.
Multiple outlets report that the Little Women and Marriage Story star has been cast in a new series in which she will portray a bartender.
The series for the quick format platform hails from author Nick Hornby, best known for writing High Fidelity and About a Boy.
According to Variety, the series titled Just One Drink, “will be comprised of a series of one-act vignettes between said bartender and the customers she serves, all of whom are in various states of emotional disrepair.”
Dern joins a slew of A-listers who have teamed with Quibi including Guillermo del Toro, Antoine Fuqua, Sam Raimi, Jason Blum, Steven Soderbergh, Catherine Hardwick, Anna Kendrick, Doug Liman, Laurence Fishburne, Tyra Banks, Chrissy Teigen, Don Cheadle and Idris Elba, and more.
