Leonardo DiCaprio in Talks to Join Guillermo del Toro’s “Nightmare Alley”

Leonardo DiCaprio worked with some of the most renowned directors in Hollywood, and it seems he’s getting ready to add another name to the list. Oscar-winning actor will reportedly star in Guillermo del Toro’s new movie Nightmare Alley.

This promising project tells the story of a corrupt conman who joins forces with an equally mischievous female psychiatrist. Their elaborate scheme eventually goes sideways after this femme fatale proves to be an even more masterful manipulator than her partner in crime.

Nightmare Alley is based on William Lindsay Gresham novel of the same name, and it already spawned one successful adaptation back in 1947. Instead of making a direct remake of this classic, Del Toro intends to offer his own take on Gresham’s intriguing book.

DiCaprio is in negotiations to portray an ambitious conman Stanton Carlisle, but he’s yet to officially accept the part. Oscar-winner has always been extremely picky when it comes to his roles, and we haven’t seen him on the big screen ever since The Revenant. He’ll finally make a comeback this year in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, alongside Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.
