Liam Neeson and intense action sequences go hand in hand, and we’re getting both in Honest Thief. The Oscar-nominated actor just landed the lead role in this intriguing romantic thriller, alongside Grey’s Anatomy star Kate Walsh.
Honest Thief follows Tom Carter, a professional bank robber, who tries to change his ways after falling in love. The only problem? The woman he’s falling for is working at a storage facility where he’s stashed $7 million of stolen money. Carter decides to wipe the slate clean by turning himself in, but things don’t go as planned. A corrupt FBI agent takes over his case, making the whole situation more difficult for everyone involved.
Honest Thief will be directed by Mark Williams, who co-created the hit Netflix series Ozark. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced, but it’s rumored Jai Courtney, Jeffrey Donovan and Jeffrey Wright are in the mix for the roles.
We’ll probably get more news in the next few weeks since the project is supposed to start filming in Boston next month.
