Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington dies aged 41

As TMZ reports, Chester Bennington, Lead singer of Linking Park, has committed suicide by hanging. His body was found Thursday around 9 am.

The singer fought alcohol and drug addiction for years. He had even said before that he had considered committing suicide as he was abused as a child.

Chester was a close friend of late Chris Cornell, who died in the same way in May. Cornell would celebrate his 53rd birthday today.

Vicky Cornell, Chris’ wife, commented on the sad news on Twitter: “Just when I thought my heart couldn’t break any more … I love you T.”

Chester was 41. He was married and had six children.
