Macaulay Culkin Returns as Home Alone’s Kevin McCallister in an Ad for Google

Almost 30 years after playing Kevin McCallister in the first Home Alone movie, Macaulay Culkin decided to return to his iconic role. Culkin recently shared an interesting video on his Twitter profile, which shows Kevin all grown up.

“Have you ever wondered what Kevin McCallister is like as an adult?” the 38-year-old actor wrote. “Me neither. But just in case you’re curious you should totally watch this.”

The video, made for an ad for Google, recreates some of the most famous scenes from the first Home Alone movie but with a slight twist. This time, Kevin uses various Google products to help him with his activities such as providing him reminders or buying a pizza.

Since being released in 1990, Home Alone established itself as a cult classic and one of the favorite Christmas movies of all times. It was also a big commercial hit, earning close to $500 million at the box office while setting the path for four more sequels.

After reprising his role in the first sequel, 1992’s Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Macaulay Culkin decided to leave the franchise and take a break from acting. He returned to Hollywood in 2003 with a movie Party Monster, and sporadically acted since then. Culkin’s most recent project is Seth Rogen’s comedy Changeland.
