During the premiere of her new movie, Leap! at the Grove in Los Angeles on Saturday, Maddie Ziegler could not hold back her excitement of working with her soon to be co-star, Kate Hudson. The former Dance Moms star told ET that she’s more excited than ever about her upcoming project with Singer Sia, the same secret project that got Hudson to shave her head.
“She’s amazing I mean she knows how to do everything, she’s the most incredible actor and she’s probably my biggest inspiration in life – her and Sia, two girl empowerment, they’re amazing,” Ziegler said.
Before the collaboration with Sia and Hudson, Ziegler has lent her voice to the animated Leap! playing a not-so-nice ballerina, a character she’s unsurprisingly somewhat familiar with.
“I feel like there are so many snobby ballerinas in real life and I’ve had to deal with a lot of mean dancers but I guess my character’s just an example of what not to be in the dance scene,” she said.
The teenage star also offered some advice for dealing with mean girls: “[j]ust block ‘em out.”
Leap! will hit theaters on August 25.
