Maisie Williams says goodbye to “Game of Thrones”

Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, has just bid farewell to the hit HBO series with a bloody photo.

The starlet, who has been starring on the show since she was 12, took to Instagram to bid farewell after wrapping her final day on set.

Sharing a photo of herself wearing bloodied-up white sneakers, she wrote: “Goodbye belfast. goodbye arya. goodbye game of thrones. what a joy i’ve had. here’s to the adventures to come.” Following that caption came a series of hashtags include one that immediately caused rumors to whirl among GoT fans: #lastwomanstanding.

The cast are notoriously bound to keep storyline details under wraps and since the show is filmed out of sequence, some say that Williams’ post is not telling of how far her character will make it in the final season.

This goodbye post comes just two weeks after Emilia Clarke shared her adieu from the show, writing, “Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade. It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #💔#lastseasonitis.

The eighth and final season of Thrones has been in production since October. The six-episode season is set to premiere in 2019.
