Mandy Moore Teases Her Return to Music

The This Is Us star is back in the studio!

After being snubbed earlier this week, missing out on an Emmy nomination, Mandy Moore returns to the recording studio after almost a decade.

The last time Moore released an album was nine years ago, but the singer treated fans with a teaser of what’s to come sharing “a little demo” of a new song she’s recording.

“Getting back to it. It’s time. I miss it. I’m not scared anymore. No more excuses. No more allowing someone’s else insecurities to dictate my relationship to music and singing. Boom,” Moore captioned the audio snippet. “Also – this is just a little demo of something @themikeviola and I worked on yesterday… but still, it’s a start! 🎶”

Moore’s debut album dropped in 1999 and she has released six LPs in total, the last of which was Amanda Leigh, in 2009. In recent years, however, her acting career had eclipsed her music career, but it seems that Moore has never lost her passion for getting behind the mic. She currently sings on the hit drama, This Is Us.
