“Manifest” Renewed for Season 2

The mystery of Flight 828 will continue to unravel.

NBC has renewed yet another series for the 2019-20 season. This time it was Manifest’s turn, the network’s mystery drama about the return of five passengers of a plane that disappeared but then returned.

“In just its first season, Manifest has answered many questions about the mystery of Flight 828 and, smartly, asks many more,” said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents scripted programming at NBC Entertainment. “Congratulations to [creator] Jeff Rake, our producers, cast and crew who have created an incredibly addictive series with compelling characters and complex relationships.”

Manifest centers on the passengers of Montego Air Flight 828 who went missing for five years and were presumed dead. But then they reappear un-aged and with no indication that time had passed.

The renewal was fully expected with series being the highest rated new scripted series of the season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series never lost its place as the top first-year scripted show in adults 18-49.

The series stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, and Parveen Kaur.

Manifest joins eleven other scripted series renewed on NBC.
