Margot Robbie to Produce Kat Dennings’s Comedy “Dollface”

Margot Robbie’s schedule is so packed right now that she can’t even accept new acting roles, but that’s not stopping her from exploring the movie industry from a new angle. She’s getting ready to produce comedy series Dollface, with Kat Dennings in the lead.

This intriguing project will tell the story of a young woman who struggles to rekindle her female friendships after a relationship with her longtime boyfriend suddenly falls apart. In addition to playing the lead role, Dennings will also serve as executive producer alongside Robbie.

The relative newcomer Jordan Weiss will be in charge of writing the upcoming series, with Matt Spicer directing the first episode. Hulu’s senior VP of content, Craig Erwich, can’t wait to work with this creative team to bring Dollface to life.

“Jordan is an exciting, new voice that has something specific and provocative to say about her generation. As we seek out fresh perspectives and new, thought-provoking projects, Dollface is exactly the type of relatable, yet distinct, series we know our audience will love,” said Erwich.
