After serving as a judge on American Idol, pop star Mariah Carey is joining another reality singing competition. Carey recently revealed on social media that she will be joining season 15 of NBC’s The Voice, serving as a “knockouts advisor” on Jennifer Hudson’s team during the show’s knockout rounds.
In addition to her role as an advisor, the “We Belong Together” singer will also be a mentor for all 32 singers who will make it to this round of the competition.
“The sessions with the contestants, some of them have completely blown me away,” said Carey during her appearance on NBC’s Today. “It’s like a humbling experience to be around all the raw talent.”
Carey will make The Voice debut on Monday, October 29th when the show returns to television for knockout rounds.
Mariah Carey is also busy with preparing her fifteenth studio album Caution, which will be available on November 16, 2018. She already presented two singles from the album, “GTFO” and “With You,” both of which received positive reviews from the critics.
