Mark Wahlberg In Talks to Replace Chris Evans In “Infinite”

Multiple outlets report that Mark Wahlberg is in negotiations to replace Chris Evans in Paramount’s Infinite.

According to Variety, Evans exited the project due to scheduling issues.

The feature, an adaptation of D. Eric Maikranz’s 2009 novel The Reincarnationist Papers is directed by Antoine Fuqua from a script by Ian Shorr. 

The story centers on the Cognomina, a secret society of people who possess total recall of their past lives known as “the Infinite.” A troubled young man haunted by memories of two past lives is the society’s way to defeat an evil mastermind. 

Should Wahlberg join the project he will star as the schizophrenic man turned savior to “the Infinite.”

Production is scheduled to begin this fall. 

Infinite is set to hit theaters August 7, 2020.
