Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On Live” to be Reissued

The iconic 1972 concert will finally be in vinyl. 

For the very first time, Marvin Gaye’s iconic performance of his album What’s Going On will be remastered for re-release. The standalone live album will be released this October. 

According to Rolling Stone the concert which took place in Washington DC in 1972, what the only time the singer performed the full album live. 

The album will also feature Gaye’s live performances of four other songs: “That’s The Way Love Is,” “You,” “Sixties Medley – along with “Right On” and “Wholy Holy.”

What’s Going On Live, will also include photographs from Gaye’s performance and notes by the singer’s biographer David Ritz.
