Matt Reeves’ The Batman has found its Penguin.
The Batman director has confirmed that Colin Farrell is on board the project as Oswald Cobblepot aka Penguin in the forthcoming superhero film.
Reeves took to social media to announce the news. He tweeted gif of Farrell from the movie In Bruges with the caption: “Wait — is that you, #Oz?” with Oz being a shortened form of the DC character’s given name.
Farrell joins Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Peter Sarsgaard in a still unconfirmed role.
The Batman is currently filming and is set to hit theaters on 25 June 2021.
