Meet the Cast of Shondaland and Netflix’s “Bridgerton”

The forthcoming TV adaptation of Julia Quinn’s bestselling series of romance novels has its cast. 

Netflix and Shondaland announced the names of those who will join Julie Andrews in Bridgerton. Andrews will voice the character of Lady Whistledown in the eight-episode, hourlong drama.

Phoebe Dynevor (Younger) and Regé-Jean Page (For The People) will star as leads alongside Jonathan Bailey ( Broadchurch), Golda Rosheuvel (Silent Witness), Luke Newton (The Lodge), Claudia Jessie (Doctor Who), Nicola Coughlan (Derry Girls), Ruby Barker (Doctors), Sabrina Bartlett (Knightfall), Ruth Gemmell (Deep State), Adjoa Andoh (Thunderbirds Are A Go) and Polly Walker (Pennyworth).

According to Entertainment Weekly,the drama is set among the luxurious, cutthroat Regency London high society, and will focus on the powerful Bridgerton family comprised of eight tight-knit siblings. Passing through the glittering ballrooms of Mayfair and the aristocratic palaces of Park Lane, the group will navigate the upper ten thousand’s marriage mart in search of romance, adventure, and love.”
