Mel B recently shared some interesting details about her ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy during an appearance on Good Morning Britain. The British singer and member of Spice Girls discussed some of her previous romances that she describes in her newest memoir Brutally Honest, and said that Murphy, with whom she has a daughter named Angel, will always be the “great love” of her life.
“He always will be,” Mel told host Piers Morgan when asked to explain “great love” comments she made about Murphy in the book. “I mean, I’ve never really spoken about it before, so this book, I wanted to address it because a lot of people have a misconstrued thing of how everything actually did happen. And at the end of the day we have a beautiful daughter together, Angel, who is 11 years old, and she’s actually staying with him right now whilst I’m here working.”
Mel B also described that when she first met the Beverly Hills Cop star saying that it was “love at first sight.”
“Well, I went for a dinner party at his house, and it was very intense that attraction, and I left actually because it was a bit too much,” – the 43-year-old singer added. “But he’s such a lovely person, he’s all about family and he’s very respectful and very old school and we courted for quite some time before anybody knew.”
Mel B and Eddie Murphy started dating shortly after Murphy divorced model Nicole Mitchell in April 2006. Their romance, however, didn’t last long and they broke up by the December of the same year.
