Another biopic is coming our way and this time the story of Michael Jackson’s life and music from Graham King, who produced the Oscar-winning Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
Deadline reports that King has acquired the rights to the life and music of the late singer, and the rights to make a film based on them.
King will be joined by a previous collaborator, screenwriter John Logan. The two have previously collaborated on Martin Scorsese’s Howard Hughes biopic, The Aviator.
Sources tell the outlet that the “film isn’t intended to be a sanitized rendering of Jackson’s life,” and that “the complexity of Jackson’s life is well known and will not be ignored in a film that will span his entire life.”
No studio is involved yet.
