After a not so well received kick-off to Shark Week on the Discovery Channel, after promising fans and viewers a race between 23-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps against a great white shark, Phelps and his wife, Nicole Johnson share their baby boy’s love for marine life.
After recently taking the adorable 1-year-old to the OdySea aquarium, turns out that the love and amazement of the magical underwater is shared by the entire family.
Johnson uploaded the sweetest pictures from their visit to Instagram where Boomer was absolutely captivated by all there was to see, and one especially a very friendly stingray. Tagging her husband, she wrote in the caption: “I think @boomerrphelps love for sea life might be as great as our is…”. The proud mom also uploaded a photo of the two men in her life looking cuter than ever, as Boomer was on his extra smiley dad’s shoulders.
Phelps has been uploading photos to Instagram as well saying that Shark Week was a life-changing experience. He added that he felt very lucky to meet some cool people and learn more about the much feared and oft-hated ocean predator. His experience got him up close and personal with different sea creatures, and finally, as much anticipated, he got to swim with some sharks.
