After taking a break in 2020, Lollapalooza is set to return this year just in time to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The iconic music festival announced an exciting lineup for the 2021 edition that includes Miley Cyrus, Foo Fighters, Post Malone, and Tyler, the Creator, as the headliners.
Lollapalooza 2021 will take place from July 29th to August 1st at its usual location in Chicago’s Grant Park. According to the organizers, the festival will be held in full capacity. The event saw 400,000 people attending in 2019, and a similar number is expected this year as well.
Other big names that will be part of the lineup are Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, EDM superstar Marshmello, Limp Bizkit, Modest Mouse, and hard rock veterans Journey. According to the press release, more than 165 music acts will perform at the festival on eight stages in four days.
After the cancelation of Lollapalooza 2020, the organizers decided to “keep the spirit of the festival going” and organized a free live streaming event as a substitute. The event saw live performances from acts like Outkast, A$AP Rocky, Brockhampton, and Lupe Fiasco accompanied by sets from the previous edition of the festivals.
