Many amazing guest stars appeared on Only Murders in the Building over the years, and Molly Shannon is the next one in line! Saturday Night Live veteran joined the upcoming fourth season of the Hulu murder mystery comedy in a key recurring role.
Shannon will join the show’s leading trio Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez in the role of a high-powered businesswoman from Los Angeles, who finds herself drawn into the world of the investigation in New York City.
This announcement comes shortly after Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich told Deadline this series will briefly shift the setting in Season 4. Erwich said that he’s “very excited to see Steve, Martin, and Selena take a little break from the apartment building and come to Los Angeles” before heading back to the Arconia.
Shannon is only the latest in the long line of high-profile guest stars to appear in this Hulu series. She’s following in the footsteps of Amy Ryan, Paul Rudd, Tina Fey, Jane Lynch, and Meryl Streep, who won the Critics’ Choice Television Award for her supporting turn.
Shannon is fresh off starring in the final season of the critically acclaimed comedy series The Other Two, which ended its run after three seasons on Max last year.
