A Quiet Place 2 is definitely making some noise.
The film followed an isolated family of four that must live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound. A sequel to the horror sensation was announced by Paramount in August.
While we already knew that John Krasinski was on board to pen the script of the still untitled project, we now learn that he is also officially returning to direct the sequel to A Quiet Place.
Multiple sources report that Krasinski, who directed and starred in the original alongside his wife Emily Blunt, has been set to direct the sequel to A Quiet Place and Krasinski confirmed the news Instagramming a picture of the infamous red lights captioned with “…time to go back. #PartII 5-15-20.”
Sources also report that Paramount is in talks with the stars of the film for the sequel, including Emily Blunt and kid stars Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe.
While only costing $17 million to make, the horror feature hauled an impressive $188 million domestically and $144 million internationally.
The second installment of the horror sensation is expected to arrive in theaters in the summer of 2020.
