Mr. & Mrs. Smith is the latest 2000s classic getting a modern-day remake, and the cast of this project is shaping up to be amazing. Alexander Skarsgard, Sarah Paulson, and Ron Perlman are set to join Donald Glover and Maya Erskine in this Amazon Prime Video series.

Inspired by Doug Liman’s hit film of the same name starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Mr. & Mrs. Smith will center on two strangers who are forced to get married after agreeing to work as spies for a mysterious agency. Each episode follows them on a new mission and new milestone in their relationship, and they must fight to stay together after the cracks begin to show through.

Glover co-created the show with Francesca Sloane, in addition to playing one of the lead roles, and Maya Erskine later joined him as a replacement for Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Michaela Coel, John Turturro, and Paul Dano hopped on board in June, followed by Parker Posey and Wagner Moura in September.

Several new cast members have been announced ahead of the show’s release this winter, including Alexander Skarsgard (Succession), Eiza Gonzalez (Alita: Battle Angel), Sarah Paulson (Ratched), Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Billy Campbell (Cardinal), and Ursula Corbero (Money Heist).

Mr. & Mrs. Smith will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 2, 2024, and it will feature eight episodes.
