“Narcos” Showrunner Reveals Key Cast Members Joining Season 4

Eric Newman, Narcos’ show-runner and executive producer spoke to Variety at the LA Screenings where he revealed who will be joining the Netflix hit in its upcoming season.

Newman first intended for Narcos to be a film, but then pitched it to the streaming giant as a series. Long story short, Narcos has become a global hit series.

The highly anticipated fourth season will star Diego Luna and Michael Pena in lead roles, alongside Tenoch Huerta, Joaquin Cosio, Jose Maria Yazpik (who starred in Season 3), Teresa Ruiz and Alyssa Diaz.

Season four will be helmed by Silver Lion Best Director honoree Amat Escalante as well as Alonso Ruizpalacios, whose won the Silver Bear for Museum. Andi Baiz who directed episodes in all three season is also attached to direct some episodes of Season 4.

The production is set to use more security services while shooting on location in Mexico following the unfortunate incident involving a location scout in September.

Newman is also working on the sequel to the Netflix feature Bright.
