Neil Patrick Harris is nearing a deal to star in The Matrix 4.
After a 16 year hiatus, the fourth installment in the hit sci-fi franchise is enlisting some major names to star opposite original stars, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss.
According to Variety, which was first to report the news, the How I Met Your Mother star is nearing a deal for an unspecified role in the upcoming feature. Newcomer Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is said to play a young Morpheus.
The original films’ co-creator Lana Wachowski will direct from a script she co-wrote with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell. The Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions executive producer, Grant Hill, returns to produce.
