Last November, How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris released his first ever book The Magic Misfits. The book was the first in a new series, middle-grade saga, authored by Harris.
The magical book tells the story of Carter, a little boy whose parents disappeared. Wanting to get away from his awful uncle, Carter decides to run away to a New England town where he meet young magicians who welcome him in their group. Together, they want to expose a villainous magician reminiscent of Carter’s uncle.
The Magic Misfits: The Second Story explores the story of Leila, one of Carter’s friends. Leila grew up in an orphanage and was bullied for being different. Leila is also an escape artist.
The first book spent seven weeks on the New York Times best-seller list since being released. The second chapter of the saga is set to be released September 25 and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
