Netflix Cancels Beloved Sitcom “One Day at a Time”

One Day at a Time is one of the best, but also the most underrated sitcoms Netflix gave us in the last few years, and sadly, we won’t get to see any more of it. Fans of this show were left heartbroken after the streaming giant announced its cancellation.

One Day at a Time premiered in 2017, and it was met with positive reactions from the very start. Critics and fans applauded this tale of Cuban family living in America for exploring important social issues in lighthearted manner.

Netflix bosses said they spent several weeks discussing the future of this show and tried to find a way to bring it back for another season. They came to conclusion that the viewership just wasn’t high enough, but thanked everyone who watched it so far.

“To anyone who felt seen or represented – possibly for the first time – by ODAAT, please don’t take this as an indication your story is not important. The outpouring of love for this show is a firm reminder to us that we must continue finding ways to tell these stories,” reads statement by Netflix.
