Netflix is always looking for new ways to profit from the success of their most popular shows, and spin-offs seem to be their favorite strategy. The streamer is currently developing Wednesday and Peaky Blinders spin-offs, according to Bloomberg’s recent report.

Developing another series in The Addams Family universe is a no-brainer for Netflix since Wednesday became their most popular English-language show ever following its premiere. The new spin-off would center on Uncle Fester, played by Fred Armisen in the original series.

According to Bloomberg, there’s no guarantee this project would actually come to life. Nothing will be official until Netflix bosses negotiate contracts with talent, figure out the scheduling, and hire writers to come up with a good story.

As for Peaky Blinders, the BBC crime drama found a new audience after premiering on Netflix. There have been a lot of speculations about its future after the show ended last year, and Bloomberg now claims there are not one, but two spin-offs in development!

The first one would shift the setting from post-World War I Birmingham to the 20th century Boston. The second would focus on the Shelby family matriarch Polly Gray, who became a fan-favorite character thanks to the brilliant portrayal of the late Helen McCrory in the original series.
