Netflix Orders New Contemporary Greek Mythology Drama

Netflix is heading to the Olympus for inspiration for a new drama series.

The streaming giant is reteaming with creator-writer Charlie Covell (The End of The F***ing World) who will helm the dark reimagining of Greek mythology.

Netflix has handed out a 10-episode series order for the new series, titled Kaos.

The official logline for the straight-to-series series’ order is: “A darkly comedic and contemporary reimagining of Greek mythology, exploring themes of gender politics, power, and life in the underworld.” Covell is penning the script.

The logline also reveals that “No cast or other creatives were announced.”

Quite unexpected, but The End of The F***ing World ended up being a major original content hit. “It was astounding how popular it was for us,” Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said of the series.

Kaos is produced by All3Media and Brightstar. Serving as executive producer for All3Media is Nina Lederman for Brightstar Tanya  Seghatchian and John Woodward.
