Netflix Renews “Ozark” for Season 3

The Byrdes are back. 

The streaming giant has renewed Ozark for a third season. 

Jason Bateman who stars in the series confirmed the news with a tweet that read, “I’m happy for me, but concerned for Marty – it’s official OZARK 3 is on the way.” Laura Linney, Sofia Hublitz,  Skylar Gaertner, Julia Garner, Jason Butler Harner, Peter Mullan, and Lisa Emery also star in the crime drama. 

The series follows the Byrde family, with patriarch Marty (Bateman) working as a financial adviser as well as a money launderer for a Mexican drug cartel. The second season of Ozark, saw the Byrde family dive further into the world of crime. Just as they are finally settling in, the Byrdes realize they have to go all in before they can get out.

Ozark was created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams. In charge of the script is Chris Mundy. Mundy also serves as executive producer alongside Dubuque, Williams and Bateman. Bateman also directed a couple of episodes for which he earned an Emmy nomination for Best Director.
