Elite is one of Netflix’s most beloved Spanish series and its future is looking bright. The streaming giant renewed this teen drama for its eighth season ahead of Season 7 premiere and promised a mix of fresh faces and familiar favorites when the show returns.

Set at a fictional elite high school Las Encinas, Elite delves into complicated relationships between students from different backgrounds. Riveting drama and intrigue unfold after several working-class students enroll in Las Encinas through a scholarship program, clashing with their wealthy classmates.

Ander Puig, Carmen Arrufat, Álvaro de Juana, Ana Bokesa, Álex Pastrana, André Lamoglia, Valentina Zenere, Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Adam Nourou and Manu Ríos are a part of the show’s impressive ensemble cast, and they’ll be in a pretty good company in Season 8.

Ane Rot (Killer Book Club) and Nuno Gallego (UPA Next) are new faces joining the series, while Mina el Hammani is set to make a comeback and reprise her role from the first three seasons.

Season 7 of Elite is yet to premiere and its release date is set for October 20, but it’s not a shocker to see Netflix renew it so early. In addition to being a runaway hit for the streamer, Elite isn’t impacted by the ongoing strikes in Hollywood since it’s primarily filmed in Spain.
