Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are officially husband and wife!
The 36-year-old actress’ rep has confirmed that she and her 26-year-old singer beau said their ‘I do’s’ at Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, on Saturday.
The festivities began with a Christian ceremony officiated by Jonas’ father. According to Vogue, the former Quantico star looked stunning in a Ralph Lauren gown. Back in October she told Entertainment Tonight, “I always believed that anything and everything that I wear, I have to be comfortable and cute,” Chopra explained. “So it’s going to be cute and comfortable.”
Jonas took to social media to post pics form Chopra’s mehendi ceremony during which she had traditional henna tattoos applied to her palms and arms.
“One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing,” he wrote alongside pics from the event. “An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.”
It was quite the event, or shall we say series of events. Chopra took to Instagram to share additional snaps for the special day.
“It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love,” she wrote. “Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together.”
This is definitely what you call a whirlwind romance with the couple getting engaged in July after just two months of dating.
