Nicki Minaj has landed an impressive gig.
Variety reports that the rapper has joined the voice cast of Angry Birds 2. While it is still unknown, which character the rapper will lend her voice to, she sure is joining a stellar cast.
The star-studded cast includesJason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Bill Hader, Danny McBride, and Peter Dinklage who will reprise their roles from the first film. Joining them are Leslie Jones, Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Sterling K. Brown, Eugenio Derbez, Lil Rel Howery, Dove Cameron, and Zach Woods.
The sequel is directed by Thurop Van Orman and co-directed by John Rice. It is produced by John Cohen and co-produced by Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews. Serving as executive producers are David Maisel and Catherine Winder.
The 2016 film grossed $350 million worldwide.
The release date for Angry Birds Movie 2 coincides with the 10th anniversary of the hit video game and will hit theaters on August 16, 2019.
