Halina Reijn made her English-language directorial debut with Bodies Bodies Bodies, and its follow-up is on the way. Reijn will join forces with A24 for the star-studded thriller Babygirl, led by the Hollywood superstars Nicole Kidman and Antonio Banderas.

Babygirl will follow a successful CEO who starts an illicit affair with her much younger intern. Reijn is coming on board as writer and director, in addition to producing this film alongside David Hinojosa of 2AM, with Julia Oh, Zach Nutman, and Christine D’Souza Gelb of 2AM serving as executive producers.

The cast of this sensual thriller is truly an embarrassment of the riches, and it includes the Oscar winner Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies) and Oscar nominee Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory) along with Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw), Sophie Wilde (Talk To Me), and Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional).

Even though the plot details are still being kept under wraps, expectations for this project are running high. Reijn has a great track record with A24, and she’s no stranger to working with a star-studded ensemble cast. Her horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies was met with positive reviews following its premiere at South by Southwest last year, and it starred Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Rachel Sennott, Lee Pace, and Pete Davidson.
