Big Little Lies has been one of the most exciting and empowering experiences of Nicole Kidman’s career, and she’s getting ready to team up with the network that made it possible. She’s set to star in upcoming mini-series The Undoing, directed by Susanne Bier.
This promising project will be an adaptation of the book You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz. It will follow a successful therapist named Grace Sachs, who seemingly has it all until a violent death and her husband’s sudden disappearance has her life spiraling out of control. In the wake of horrifying events that stripped her of the only life she ever wanted, Grace is forced to prevent a very public disaster from taking place and find a way to create a new life for her son and herself.
The Undoing will also be a comeback of sorts for the director Susanne Bier. It’s her second TV project to date, following an enormous success of The Night Manager, which brought her an Emmy win. In addition to directing, she’ll also serve as executive producer alongside Kidman, and same production team that brought Big Little Lies to life.
