Nicole Kidman’s television projects are a gift that keeps on giving, and she has another one on the way. The first teaser for her Hulu’s mini-series Nine Perfect Strangers is here and it takes us into the heart of a mysterious, cult-like wellness retreat.
Based on the bestselling novel by Liane Moriarty, who also authored Big Little Lies, this promising series centers on a group of people attending “mind and body total transformation retreat” over the course of ten unsettling, life-changing days. Kidman will take on the role of the retreat leader, a mysterious Russian woman named Masha.
Hulu is yet to share the release date for Nine Perfect Strangers, but the series officially wrapped up filming in Australia last December. Kidman will be surrounded by several pretty impressive supporting players, including Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, and Samara Weaving.
Nine Perfect Strangers will see Kidman joining forces with David E. Kelley for the third time. She previously won Golden Globe and Emmy Award for her performance in his series Big Little Lies and scored another Golden Globe nod after working together in The Undoing.
