Grace and Frankie is getting an exciting new casting addition!
ET has confirmed that during one episode of the series’ 5th season, stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin will be joined by Nicole Richie who will guest star. Richie will portray Kareena G, a sweet but entitled pop star who finds herself in Grace and Frankie’s lives.
The show’s costume designer, Allyson Fanger spoke with ET about Richie’s unorthodox character: “I had to do a little far reaching, because it’s an interesting character. It’s a little anime-ish, but she can carry it! She can do anything,” Fanger shared. “At the table read, she was so funny. She really flowed so well with the cast.”
Looks like season five is going to be star studded as Richie will join RuPaul as celebrity guest star. Previous guest stars have included Lisa Kudrow, Peter Gallagher, Rita Moreno, Wendie Malick, Carrie Preston and Christine Lahti.
Grace and Frankie will return to Netflix in 2019.
