Late-night TV is compelling, thought-provoking and daring, but it’s about to get even more fierce. Niecy Nash is getting ready to throw her hat into the competitive late-night arena, and she’s doing it with her new talk show Naked With Niecy Nash.
Described as “a decidedly unique show with a late-night feel”, the upcoming series will be Nash’s second collaboration with TNT. She’s already playing the lead in their hit drama Claws, which was recently renewed for season 3.
It seems TNT viewers just can’t get enough of Nash, so the network executives came up with the perfect way to give them more. Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming at TNT, said her best-selling book It’s Hard to Fight Naked inspired them to think bigger and a new late-night show was what they came up with.
Aubrey isn’t the only one who’s super pumped about this new collaboration. The Getting On actress can’t wait to start filming her own talk show, and despite what the title might suggest, she’ll be doing the pilot fully-clothed.
“I’m so excited to add my voice to the late-night landscape. Love is the thing we were created for but it’s also the place we struggle the most… until now! This is going to be a fun and sexy ride! TNT is the perfect partner for me in this endeavor!” said the future host of Naked With Niecy Nash.
