Normani Shows Off Her Epic Dance Moves in Video for “Motivation”

Normani’s fans spent a lot of time waiting for her first solo single, and their prayers have finally been answered. The music video for her new song “Motivation” is here, and it’s definitely been worth the wait.

This throwback video opens with a shot of young Normani watching TV, and dreaming she’ll have “the number one video in the world” one day. What we see next is so epic that it’s safe to say she managed to accomplish that goal.

The “Motivation” video is very reminiscent of similar visuals we used to watch during the early 2000s and sees the former Fifth Harmony singer paying homage to some of her childhood idols. Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love”, Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time” and J.Lo’s “I’m Real” served as obvious inspiration for some of the most epic moments in this dance-filled visual.

Ariana Grande, who co-written this song alongside Normani, was one of many artists who sent her messages of support after “Motivation” came out. This song is set to be featured on her upcoming debut album, and the 23-year-old singer described it as a “feel-good record” while chatting with Rolling Stone.
