Olivia Rodrigo gave us one of the year’s most anticipated albums with Guts, and this week’s Billboard charts reflect its enormous success. Guts became her second album to debut at No. 1, and all of its 12 tracks made it to the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, led by its lead single “Vampire”.
With 302,000 equivalent album units earned during its first week on the Billboard 200, Guts easily soared to No. 1 in the United States. It’s Rodrigo’s second album to do so, and it even managed to outsell Sour by approximately 7,000 units during its first week on the chart.
Guts managed to sell 150,000 units in pure album sales, powered by its enormous success on vinyl, with 94,000 units sold. It also earned 151,000 SEA units, equaling to 199.59 million streams across the album’s 12 tracks.
Guts did just as great on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Vampire”, which debuted at no. 1 after being released as the lead single from this album back in June, returned to the top spot following the release of Guts on September 8.
To make the whole thing even more impressive, all 12 songs from Rodrigo’s sophomore album made it to the top 40 this week, including “Bad Idea Right?” at No. 7, “Get Him Back!” at No. 11, and “All-American B—h” at No. 13.
