One Day at a Time has lined up its first guest star.
Multiple outlets report that Ray Romano has been tapped to guest-star on the Season 4 premiere of the sitcom.
Romano is set to play Brian, “a 2020 US Census taker who comes to the Alvarez household to interview the family,” according to the official character description.
The casting announcement was made via the show’s social media accounts.
A picture of Romano alongside series stars Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz, Todd Grinnell, and Stephen Tobolowsky, creators Gloria Calderon Kellett and Mike Royce, and producers Norman Lear and Brent Miller, was captioned with, “The first live taping of the new season is tomorrow AND our friend Ray Romano is joining us as a special guest star for the premiere. Welcome to the fam!
One Day at a Time Season 4 kicks off on March 24.
