Original Cast of “The Nanny” to Reunite for Table Read

Fran Drescher and Charles Shaughnessy in "The Nanny"

Hang in there because The Nanny cast is getting back together!

That’s right — Fran Drescher, who starred as the bridal shop attendant turned nanny of three on the CBS series, confirmed that the cast of the beloved 90s sitcom is getting back together.

The original cast, including Daniel Davis, Nicholle Tom, Benjamin Salisbury, Madeline Zima, and Charles Shaughnessy, will get-together virtually for a table read of the series’ pilot episode.

“Laughter is the best medicine! So, in these challenging times, Petah and I thought, wouldn’t it be great if we pulled together the original cast of The Nanny for a virtual read of the pilot?” said Drescher in a statement, referring to show’s co-creator, Peter Marc Jacobson. “It’s a once in a lifetime Pandemic Performance for our fans around the world who are currently stressing in isolation and could use a real upper! It sure has given each of us a lift and we hope it does for you as well.”

The reunion will be posted on the Sony Pictures YouTube page on the morning of Monday, April 6.
