Orlando Bloom is Heading to the Small Screen in New Fantasy Series

The Lord of the Rings actor is heading to the small screen. Orlando Bloom will star in an upcoming Amazon fantasy series titled Carnival Show. The actor will portray a police investigator, investigating the murder of a faerie showgirl. Bloom will also produce the hour-long series, which will begin shooting this fall.

This might be the 40-year-old actor’s first time starring in a TV series, however, he is no stranger to the fantasy genre, recently starring alongside Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The actor revealed in the past that his 6-year-old son Flynn is a huge fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, so it’ll be interesting to see what he’ll think of Carnival Show.

In the studio’s statement, Carnival Show is a “fantasy-noir set in a neo-Victorian city,” and is aiming for a 2019 fall release.
