Paul McCartney to join James Corden for Carpool Karaoke

Carpool Karaoke is headed to Abbey Road and we couldn’t be more excited!

The host of The Late Late Show confirmed Wednesday that music icon star, Paul McCartney, will be joining him for an extra special Carpool Karaoke segment.

The popular segment has had its fair share of awesome musical guests, including Adele, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Elton John since it launched in Corden’s late-night show in 2015.

Corden took to Twitter to confirm the news that while broadcasting shows out of London on June 18 through 21 he will be joined by Beatles legend Paul McCartney.

Other guests set to appear on the popular musical segment during Corden’s London round are Chris Pratt, Damian Lewis, J.J. Abrams and Ruth Wilson in addition to the previously announced Cher, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Niall Horan and Foo Fighters.

Variety reports that the two have been seen filming around Liverpool, McCartney’s hometown. A source told the outlet: “[McCartney] was being really nice to everybody. He was backing people in so they could get pictures with him. He and James Corden were taking selfies. And they just walked back, got in the car and disappeared off and went ’round Liverpool. It was fabulous.”

McCartney also surprised fans Saturday when he changed his Twitter profile pic with a white box, which what looks like a hand drawn tunnel or bridge. This heightened expectations about his fans that he will be announcing a new album soon.
