Paul Rudd, Jimmy Fallon Recreate “You Spin Me Round”

The duo recreated the “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” shot-for-shot and it was epic!

The Ant-Man star and late-night host tapped their musical talents Thursday and paid homage to the 1985 iconic music video.

Their replication is a shot-by-shot do-over of Dead or Alive’s hit, which reached No. 11 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985. The original clip was directed by Vaughan Arnell and Anthea Benton. It paid homage to the Hindu God Vishnu, which was re-imagined to include a disco ball and gold flags and who can forget Pete Burns’ signature eye patch.

“He’s hard to sing, Pete Burns,” Rudd told the late-night host. “He’s got such a strange vibrato.” He added that the video was “highly unsettling,” while Fallon said that the process of filming the video was quite “disturbing.”

This isn’t the first time the pair teamed up for a music video remake. They two replicated Styx’s “Too Much Time On My Hands” and Go West’s “King of Wishful Thinking.”
