Marvel bosses are getting ready to reboot the Fantastic Four franchise, and it seems they’ve found the perfect man for the job! The Emmy-nominated actor Pedro Pascal is eying the role of the Fantastic Four leader Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in Marvel’s upcoming remake.

Pascal’s casting is yet to be confirmed, but he’s currently a front-runner for the role, according to Deadline. Marvel is yet to officially confirm the news because they have to figure out the scheduling with Pascal, and they can’t proceed with casting other roles before locking down the actor who’ll lead the team as Reed Richards.

Even before eying this role, Pascal was one of the busiest actors working in Hollywood right now. He’s the leading star of Disney’s The Mandalorian and HBO’s The Last of Us, in addition to being attached to several high-profile films, starting with Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 and Ethan Coen’s Drive-Away Dolls.

If Pascal manages to officially secure this role, he’ll follow in the footsteps of Ioan Gruffudd and Miles Teller, who portrayed Reed Richards in the previous two incarnations of the Fantastic Four franchise. John Krasinski also made a brief cameo as this character in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
