Peter Dinklage attached to star in Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale adaptation

Peter Dinklage has scored a post Game of Thrones gig. 

Dinklage is moving to the realm of big-screen fairytales for Sony’s adaptation of Rumpelstiltskin. Rumpelstiltskin was first introduced by the Brothers Grimm in their 1812 collection Children’s and Household Tales. It tells the story of a miller who tells the king that his daughter can spin straw into gold. As he helps the girl spin the straw into riches in order to avoid her father’s wrath Rumpelstiltskin’s true colors show when he demands her first-born child as payment.

Patrick Ness and Karen Rosenfelt will adapt the script. Circle of Confusion’s Matt Smith and David Alpert, David Ginsberg, and Josh Weinstock producing the project that is still in the early stages of gestation. 

According to EW, this project is not going to be Dinklage’s first post GoT undertaking after the series ends in 2019.
